WHAT’S AN ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB?
A booster club is defined as “an organization that is formed to help support the efforts of a sports team or organization”. Support is shown in many ways, including volunteering time, raising money and contributing funds to better enhance the team or organization's performance.
YOUR MEMBERSHIP/DONATION MATTERS!
The St. Johns County School District limits funds to high school athletic programs. All sports at Beachside High School are funded in part by the Athletic Department in the form of proceeds from gate revenue, facility rentals and contributions. The remainder of the funds required to support the athletics at BHS, comes directly from the Beachside Athletics Boosters Club and Pay to Participate fees.
The money then goes to cover officials, transportation, security, competition entry fees, post-season fees, equipment and much more.
In our inaugural season, the BHS Booster Club funded the following athletic items thanks to community support and sponsorships:
Concession stand appliances and equipment
Golf kart for the medical trainer
Basketball scorer’s table
Athletic storage containers for equipment
